FERRIS WHEEL HAS ARRIVED

its an early arrival, could have sworn my husband told me tueday next week sometime...but it doesnt matter.

i FINALLY have the thing here.

now, to figure out what color scheme to paint it.
im thinking the wheel part blue will be a black.

the seats yellow will be neon: yellow, pink, green, blue, and purple, and maybe orange.

the legs (red) will be...black?
i just realized theres spokes on the wheel, in a kind of star shape...id like to offset those as neone colors and alternate the color of the seat against an opposite neon spoke...might be TOO MUCH neon tho, if i do that.

the ground (brown) will remain...brown.

craig reminded me...
ill have to do itty bitty stenciled LOGO icons for this (item that shall not be named)...to which i gave a less than enthusiastic...your right. reply back.

i havnt opened it yet, i dont have the colors i need yet to even start, so im holding off on that part till i have some paints.

EBAY MISTAKE MAY COST US

so, weve paid for this ferris wheel. and because i started the transaction through MY account, and had to swap accounts to craigs to pay for it, its now pending an UNPAID purchase..
ive contacted the seller 2 times about it.
we have confirmation that the item should arrive next week sometime...yet, ebay is still hounding my email for the paymet i made the mistake on..

so, ive sent a dipute email to customer support on it.

trust me, thats hard to do...they require the header of the ebay email and the purchase header, we also included the header from the seller confirming he was thanking us for the purchase...

not a fun process to have to go through doing...

lessons learned.

the worst that can happen is id get a negative mark on my account for NO PAYMENT, which i would again dispute because that would be false, and THAT would have to be done by the seller, whom, as stated i have contacted 2 times about the issue...

kinda would suck, because i have a good record with ebay. it isnt a PERFECT record, but its ok.
so, i really wouldnt like to have any negative mark.

i often wish we didnt have to go through ebay for these things...but often its the best and sometimes the only place we can find the items were searching for.

Want to impress your friends and amaze your family? Build a glass-topped coffee table with this inside. Although it doesn't have to be a coffee table, that was the idea behind this plan, which features two independent loops that just happen to be identical (evident when you look at the parts plan below). You'll need deep pockets for this one—the trees alone will be a substantial investment!

Z-SCALE T-TRACK LAYOUT DIAGRAMS

http://www.t-trak.org/z-scale-1.html
http://www.t-trak.org/z-scale-2.html

i have asked a friend of mine in the train club to put together some base modules for the Z scale t-track division of the club. at this point, im thinking ill own some (if not all) until the club decides to make or purchase their own. i can do the scenic and do the module crafting (putting them together). i just want to have the ease and access, as well as different visuals, on hand for any shows the club might be involved in.

at current we have..myself, lyndle smith, and gerlad gardner in the Z scale division, and craig, if you want to add him...he has bought all my Z scale...he likes N-Scale better tho. CHEAPER! lol

ORDERED A NEW (DIFFERENT But Same) FERRIS WHEEL IN N-SCALE

ok, after much thought and deliberation, we decided to buy another Ferris Wheel on ebay (local to the US in VA) for almost half the price of the original one...

if we are given the original, well just resell it for the cost we purchased it for. which, is still quite cheap for the kit itself, because its not out there for under 100.00 on most sites..(*NOTE I SAID : MOST). some are higher, some are lower...but over all, most have this same item for far higher than we got this from this dealer in austrailia.

so we bought this other one...for 32.00.
and the address has been changed on both PAYPAL AND EBAY!

OK. so after an adjustment with hubbys password (he has like 100 different ones, never know which password is for what account) its been ordered, and i even saw the confirmation email in his inbox online...
so, maybe well have a FERRIS WHEEEL soon, that i can work on and make look as awesome as my image in my head said it will be!

PAPER PATTERNS FOR CIRCUS/ FAIR SCENE

in my ever ending quest for the right "look" for this CARNIVAL idea i have, i look through EBAY sometimes and i often see under the search "CIRCUS" these hand made fabric CIRCUS TENTS. in both: N-SCALE, and Z-SCALE sizes...

my CARNIVAL is in N-SCALE...

ive also done searches for patterns for this fabric set, and came across paper models of BOXES that have a CIRCUS theme...

it had a link on the site for the larger image which i also snagged, as well as the accompanying tower too..

how to do this (i havnt done it yet, but ill have too)

make the paper model 1st, make sure you keep a copy on hard stock of the original patterns...

if its too large, or seems out of speck, you can downsize the model until you get the size your looking for...

i figured paper models are about as good as any real pattern for this..
all i need is neon colored swatches, as well as alot of black base, and some lights to make it all seem very carnival like...

FARRIS WHEEL HAS BEEN SHIPPED TO AN OLD ADDRESS..ARGH!

so, ive been waiting and waiting and waiting on this item, decided today to send the seller an email...

did a little investigation, googles TRACKING NUMBERS FOR AUSTRAILIA, and hit a page that would let me do a search through all the tracking sites all over the world, theres about 7..

so, im going through, and decide to do UPS...and BING! we have a winner!

cick the button to read the details, to find out...
the product hit the doorstep on the 17th, 3 days ago...but....*sigh*....
my FARRIS WHEEL WENT TO THE HOME I LIVED IN OVER 5 YEARS AGO, the family that bought hubbys old home in columbia, SC!
NOT my current home in OKLAHOMA!

ARGH!
we spent like 60 bucks on that thing, and now, we have no way of knowing if well even get it back...
people can claim anything once its at their door.

we completely forgot to make sure the OLD address was off the EBAY account!

now, im not sure how to claim its mine and get it back...
pretty sure its gonna require allot of red tape to do too...

UPDATE: called the postal service 1-800 number, spoke to a BRYAN, who saw the item had been shipped to the address in West Columbia (the OLD address) and was sorry to tell me, because of the mode of shipping couldnt do anything about making sure the product could be delivered to my new address...

DOUBLE ARGH!

so, i sent another email to the seller, explaining this part (i located the item, and it was shipped to an old address) and asked if they sent it back (crossing fingers they do) which NEW address to ship it too so i can have it, i even said wed be willing to pay for additional shipping, as it was our mistake it went to the wrong address in the 1st place)

LESSONS LEARNED!
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SHIPPING ADDRESS FOR EBAY AT ALL TIMES!

STILL WAITING ON THAT FARRIS WHEEL TO ARRIVE FROM AUSTRALIA

shortly after we had ordered the farris wheel, within a week, craig had a paypal notice telling him he needed to add: 26.00$ SHIPPING! well, its been over a week now, and we still havnt received this item yet and we bought it on the 4th.

its now, the 13th. almost 10 days. now, i realize that im dealing with another country and im dependent on the individual to ship it on their own time. but seriously, they should say what day they normally would do all their shipping out.

but then i have no idea if this item has even been shipped or not either. and it could very well, be in america, making its way to me.

theres a shipping number, but it wont let me go anywhere to see where it might be sitting and how long it will take to get to us. frustrating.

im very excited about its arrival, because im anxious to start the process of converting its look to fit this idea ihave in mind ive been rolling around in my mind for about 3-4 years. THIS piece is the 1ST piece in this idea...or the start to my launching the idea, that i think will make heads move and eyes go wide, and be something a bit different, and appealing to a certain group of individuals...

alli can say is: HURRY UP AND GET HERE! lol

as soon as i have an update, ill have that post in here.

PURCHASED THE N-SCALE FARRIS WHEEL TODAY

so, as im looking through the tabs i always have open on my browser, i go back and look at the farris wheel Ebay purchase, hoping id see something from the seller there as some kind f note about the shipping.

and when i do, i saw that the adjustment had been made, and there was NO SHIPPING!

so, i asked craig if he still wanted me to goahead with the purchase. he said yes, so we bought the 1st carnival ride for the idea i have for this t-track modular layout.

as mentioned in a previous post, ill want to paint this to match the references color schemes for the items they are associated with. which would be: BLACK (Primary), neon green, neon blue, neon yellow, and neon pink.

i cant wait to get more items and pull this entire idea together. this will be so cool, i think.

TRYING TO PURCHASE AN N-SCALE FARRIS WHEEL FOR A LAYOUT IDEA ON T-TRACK

so, ive had this idea for AGGGGES! id go more into it, but im afraid someone i know will see this and know what the surprise is about. so i wont go into details about the idea itself.

just talk somewhat about the items purchased for this idea.

i look on ebay with some variance of regularity for N-SCALE carnival/Fair/Circus items (for this idea i have). i dnt come across them frequently enough tho. which is disheartening, because this idea really does rely on these types of items to make it have the impact im looking to have.

so, the other day, last week, actually, i was looking on ebay, and came across a farris wheel in n scale, that was being sold. NO BIDDING. its a BUY IT NOW ite, (i prefer those, personally)
so, i had to wait for a new paycheck cycle to roll around before i could invest in this item.

today...i placed the order.
but, was stopped because im not really sure what the SHIPPING is from Australia. and this product (this particular one, anyway) is coming from Australia.
so, i had to send the seller an inquiry about the shipping.

hopefully that will be soon, so we can at least have the 1st item of this idea planned out and done.

one of the things im also thinking about doing, is changing the color scheme of this farris wheel.
to something back, with neon green and neon blue, and maybe neon pink

its to add the the appeal pertaining the the idea.
